2025 SCHOLARSHIP Recipients have been Awarded
We are proud to announce that 10 deserving recipients have been awarded scholarships for 2025. We look forward to following their journeys as they pursue their academic goals. Applications for the next round of scholarships will open in May 2026, and we encourage all eligible students to apply.
Spring Harvest: Coming Together, Giving Back
Spring Harvest is our annual event where we unite hundreds of volunteers to assemble thousands of fresh food care packages for families, individuals, and seniors living in affordable housing. None of this would be possible without the incredible support of our partners, donors, and community members. And we’re not slowing down—Spring Harvest will return in 2026, where we plan to shatter every record yet again!
Grand Openings Welcome Residents Home
Each Grand Opening is a reminder that small comforts can make a big difference. We provide the essentials that make daily life possible—pots and pans, dishes, silverware, trash cans, cleaning supplies, hygiene items, and more. By easing the burden of these basic needs, we help families and individuals start fresh with confidence and stability.

Our Story
Allgire General Contractors has been building affordable housing for more than 36 years, doing its best to remain a strong, positive force in the community. With the retirement of founders Rick and Mary Ann Allgire in 2020, the company’s passionate team created the Allgire Foundation to give back to the affordable housing communities where they live, build and play.
Featured Grand Openings
We’ve been able to provide over 1,350 residents in 21 new affordable housing communities with important and often-overlooked essentials through our Grand Opening Move In Kit program. With Allgire General Contractors’ funding and resources, our move in kits have become more robust than ever before and provide a helping hand as residents of affordable housing move into their new homes.
Spring Harvest 2025
It’s a wrap on another Allgire Foundation Spring Harvest! We raised awareness of food insecurities and the high cost of eating healthy that residents of affordable housing face. In about 2 hours, 450+ energetic volunteers assembled more than 18,000 packages of fresh produce that were then delivered to 220+ affordable housing communities in San Diego. Thanks to West Pak Avocados for their incredibly generous donation of delicious and fresh avocados, Produce Good for supplying some of the fresh produce, and the affordable housing developers, architects, engineers, trade partners, and community members for their donations of money and time! Spring Harvest wouldn’t exist without Allgire General Contractors unwavering support (and SUBSTANTIAL funding). Let’s do it again!
